Jimmy Buffett was born on December 25, 1946, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, United States. He grew up in two different parts of Alabama. He attended the St. Ignatius School where he was a grad student. He joined the school band and played trombone. He went to the McGill Institute for Boys later from where he graduated. Later on, he went to Auburn University but only stayed there for a year. He attended the Pearl River Community College and got a bachelor’s in History degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. After that, he worked at Billboard magazine.
