Jason Alexander was born on September 23, 1959, in Newark, New Jersey, United States. He was born into a Jewish family. He attended Livingston High School and wanted to be a magician at the time. Later on, he got interested in theater and decided to pursue it as a career. He attended Boston University studying theater. His professor advised him to pursue comedy instead of classical acting. He dropped out of college and went to New York to become a full-time actor.

He also worked in many Disney movies like “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and its sequel, and “House of Mouse”. He directed the films “For Better or Worse” (1996) and “Just Looking” (1999). He voice-acted for the movie “The Return of Jafar” and “The Word of Promise”.

He has been a part of many commercials for brands like KFC,  McDonald’s McDLT hamburger, Hershey’s Kiss, Delta Gold potato chips, Levi’s, and Rold Gold pretzels.
